Gamescom 2013 is next week and Activision will be bringing the big guns.
Gamescom is the E3 for Europe. All of the publishers and developers converge in Cologne, Germany to show off their latest titles. Gamescom is extra special because the public is allowed in on certain days to try out the games for themselves. Activision will be there with plenty of playable demos of their games.
Here are the games Activision will be bringing to Gamescom 2013:
- Call of Duty: Ghosts (PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U)
- Destiny (PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360)
- Skylanders: SWAP Force (PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Wii, 3DS)
- Angry Birds Star Wars (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Wii, PS Vita, 3DS)
Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer and Skylanders: SWAP Force will be playable. In an odd move, those who want to play Skylanders: SWAP Force will have to head over to the Sony booth where it will be playable on PS3 and PS4.
“With the next-generation of consoles on the horizon, this is obviously an exciting time for gamers.” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing. “And there’s no better place to share the incredible slate of games we have coming than Gamescom, where our fans can get hands on with the games and really experience them. With Call of Duty: Ghosts, Destiny and Skylanders Swap Force on our slate, we think we’re going to have some of the most talked about and anticipated games at the show.”
Gamescom 2013 takes place August 21-25. August 20 is reserved for press briefings, but Activision will not be holding one.
