Total War: Rome 2

I’m going to get this off my chest now. I am mostly a console based gamer. I know, some of you probably sighed or rolled your eyes but I feel way more comfortable playing games from the seat of my La-z-boy. That said there are experiences only to be had on PC. Titles like Starcraft, Civilization, and Total War.

The next installment in the multi-million-selling Total War series, Total War: Rome II, has been announced and the release date scheduled. So, you might want to take out the proverbial sharpies now and mark those calendars for September 3, 2013.

And as if that was not enough to get excited about, details on pre-order bonuses and the collector’s edition have also been revealed.

Those who preorder any edition of the game from any participating retailer will receive the first DLC pack for free simultaneous on launch day. This DLC pack, the Greek States Culture Pack, will add three additional playable factions to Rome II; Epirus, Athens, and Sparta. Naturally, each faction will contain unique units, buildings, missions, tech trees, and win conditions.

Each closure box will house a debossed steelbook laser-etched with a collector’s edition number (i.e. 1-22,000). Other inclusions of this edition of Total War: Rome II are; a Tabula Set, Tesserae Dice, Total War Cards, a canvas campaign map, and a functioning Roman Onager (Roman siege catapult) .
