The DLC for Injustice: Gods Among Us on Wii U is coming this Summer.
PS3 and Xbox 360 owners of Injustice: Gods Among Us got to dig into the Lobo character DLC on May 7. In a few weeks they’ll once again get to dig into another character; Batgirl. By the end of the Summer there will be another two characters to enjoy.
This is just on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions though. Injustice: Gods Among Us launched last April on the Wii U as well, but none of the DLC has been confirmed for the platform. What was even more worrisome is that the Downloadable Content option that is on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions is not on the Wii U version. However, there is not anymore reason to worry.
A disgruntled fan took to the Injustice Twitter account to ask about whether DLC would arrive on the platform. The developers commented back that they expect the DLC to launch on the Wii U sometime this Summer. They weren’t able to provide an exact date, but did ask fans to stay tuned for more details.
Two DLC characters have already been announced (Lobo and Batgirl) with another two waiting announcement. The Wii U has been suffering from a lack of third-party titles and Injustice: Gods Among Us was supposed to be a form of salvation from the Wii U game drought. However, it was never confirmed if DLC would be released for the version. Other Wii U games, like Call of Duty: Black Ops II, have not recieved any DLC.
