Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD coming 2013 in North America and Europe

Square Enix has released the first trailer for Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD, which reveals a 2013 release.

Fans have been waiting a long time for Final Fantasy X HD. The HD Remaster was announced at Tokyo Game Show 2011 for the PS3 and PS Vita and new information is finally releasing to the hungry public. At PAX East, the publisher revealed the first trailer for the HD collection confirming that the game will release this year.

The trailer focuses primarily on Final Fantasy X showcasing numerous iconic scenes from the game. Like the pictures released last week the textures and hair on the characters look much better than the original. The trailer has a quick snippet of Final Fantasy X-2 HD at the end, which was announced last week.

Finally, the end of the trailer confirms that the HD Remasters will be on store shelves 2013 worldwide. No date was given for any territory. The end of the trailer also confirmed what many feared; Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 will be sold separately on PS Vita. PS3 owners get both games on one disk, but PS Vita owners have to shell out cash for both games. It is currently unknown if the PS Vita versions will be cheaper due to this or if they will each retail at full price. This also rules out Cross-Buy.

Final Fantasy X HD and Final Fantasy X-2 HD are out sometime in 2013 exclusively on PS3 and PS Vita. Check out the debut trailer below:
