Jetpack Joyride soars past 1 million downloads on PS3 and PS Vita

Halfbrick has announced that Jetpack Joyride has been downloaded over 1 million times on the PS3 and PS Vita.

Halfbrick is well known for their simple, but fun gaming apps. Jetpack Joyride was a hige success when it launched on iOS and Android devices and has once again found huge success on Sony’s PS3 console and PS Vita handheld console. The game, available through the PlayStation Network on either device, has been downloaded over 1 million times.

Halfbrick have just released a new update for the PS Vita version. New features include Twitter support, performance upgrades and tons of new user customization options.

Players play as Barry, a down on his luck type of guy. One day, Barry seizes the opportunity to turn his life into an adventure by capturing a jetpack from the depths of Legitimate Research and makes his escape. The player will guide Barry through the halls of Legitimate Research in an attempt to escape.

Jetpack Joyride can be downloaded on PS3, PS Vita, iOS and select Android devices now.
