Ubisoft has announced that the Wii U will get an exclusive demo of Rayman: Legends after the multiplatform bombshell dropped yesterday.
Yesterday, Ubisoft dropped a huge announcement that made many Wii U owners mad. After months of supposed exclusivity, the publisher announced that Rayman: Legends would also release on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game, despite being pretty much done, was also delayed to September 2013 for unknown reasons. As one can imagine, Wii U owners were not happy about the multiplatform announcement or the delay into September 2013.
To make peace, Ubisoft has posted on their Facebook page that the Wii U will get an exclusive demo in the near future:
“Thanks for all your feedback regarding Rayman: Legends in all of its forms. We have heard you and we will continue to listen. We understand your frustration and that you want to get your hands on the game.”
“We are working with the development team to provide you with a new, exclusive demo for the Wii U soon. Stay tuned for more.”
Rayman: Legends has received great reception since its showing at E3 2012 and was considered one of the Wii U’s strongest games. The game was originally supposed to come out in a few weeks on the Wii U, but Ubisoft appears to want all three versions to launch at the same time. There has been no news if there will be PS Vita, 3DS or PC versions like Rayman: Origins had.
Rayman: Legends is out September 2013 for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
