Lex Luthor in Injustice: Gods Among Us

Recurring badguy Lex Luthor will be a playable character in the upcoming title Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios have put out a brand new CG trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us that has some new information regarding the storyline. Key characters such as Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman have key monologues where they discuss how things have changed.

A surprise monologue from Lex Luthor confirmed that he will be in the game. The CG section and gameplay portion at the end of the trailer also confirmed that he will be using a power-suit similar to the one in DC Universe Online. He will employ missiles and other tech into his attacks. The Joker also had a monologue at the very end of the trailer where it was revealed that Mark Hamill will not be voicing him. A few weeks ago, Ed Boon confirmed that Bane will also be joining the growing cast that includes Batman, Solomon Grundy, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern among others.

Injustice: Gods Among Us will feature a unique story where the lines between good and evil have been blurred. Based on the trailer, it looks as though Batman and Lex Luthor will be teaming up against Superman and Wonder Woman. This information leads us to believe that the story will be Super characters vs. Gadget characters.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is out April 16 in North America and April 19 in Europe for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. Check out the new trailer below:
