Ubisoft has announced a release date for The Infamy, the first chapter of three part Assassin’s Creed III: the Tyranny of King Washington DLC.

Assassin’s Creed III was one of 2012s best-selling games, and Ubisoft is ready to give players some more. The Tyranny of King Washington will be the biggest DLC ever released for an Assassin’s Creed title. It will span a three chapter arc that pits Connor Kenway against someone he once fought alongside.

The Infamy sees Connor finding out that his attempts to deliver justice to the Colonies has all been for naught. He discovers that newly formed United States of America has elected a king; George Washington with the help of an Apple of Eden. The Infamy will set up the story of how Connor dethroned his one-time ally.

All three chapters of Assassin’s Creed III: The Tyranny of King Washington will be included as part of the Assassin’s Creed III season pass. Players can still pick up the season pass for 2400 Microsoft Points or $29.99/£23.99. Of course players can purchase each chapter separately for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360. or $9.99/£7.99 on PS3 or PC.

Assassin’s Creed III: The Tyranny of King Washington – The Infamy is out February 19 for Xbox Live, PC and the North American PSN and February 20 for the European PSN. The Tyranny of King Washington will also release on the Wii U, however no release date has been given.

Assassin’s Creed III is out now on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U.
