Nintendo has announce two The Legend of Zelda games for Wii U, including an HD remake of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
The company saved the Zelda news for the very end. Fans have eagerly been anticipating a Zelda game for the Wii U ever since the HD render at E3 2011. Franchise producer Eiji Aonuma talked a bit about his vision for the next Zelda game and how he wants to get back to the basics of The Legend of Zelda. He hinted towards an open-world Zelda, something that hasn’t been seen in years. However, the game is still a whiles out so Nintendo is giving fans something else to be excited about.
Nintendo has confirmed an HD remake for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for a Fall 2013 release. The game will brand new HD visuals, be completely playable on the Wii U Gamepad and have some serious integration with Miiverse. The original visual style will remain unchanged, but new enhanced lighting is being implemented to create a more vibrant and dynamic look.
The purpose of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is help with the long wait for The Legend of Zelda Wii U. No specific date was given for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, but it will launch Fall 2013. The game will most likely be shown at E3 2013.
It is unknown when The Legend of Zelda for Wii U will release. Based on Eiji Aonuma’s statements it is unlikely that the game will even be at E3 2013.
