EA and BioWare are offering players a first look at the upcoming Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is over a year old now and is receiving its first expansion pack. The Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion will add a significant amount of new content to MMO. Players can continue their saga with brand new story missions pitting Republic and Imperials forces against the formidable Hutt Cartel on the Makeb, a brand new planet to explore. The new planet is shown extensively in the first look trailer.
Star Wars: The Old Republic – Rise of the Hutt Cartel is due for release this Spring and is currently available for pre-order on the official Star Wars: The Old Republic website. The game recently went Free-to-Play so those playing for free will have to pay more for the expansion, meanwhile those who are subscribers will get a discounted price. There will be no physical retail release for this expansion pack.
Those who pre-order will get some extra digital goodies included with the purchase:
- The Dr. Oggurobb Hutt Holostatue: Train under the illustrious Hutt scientist Dr. Oggurobb with this portable training device that he created in his own image.
