The upcoming 3DS interquel, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, will be 20 hours long according to a brand new trailer.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate is an interquel that takes place after the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. In the game, players will take on the roles of many characters from the Belmont family across different eras including Trevor, Simon and Alucard.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate takes after the 2D Castlevania titles rather than the 3D focused reboot. Players will traverse on a 2D plane like the older games, however combat will be in full 3D. Like Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, players will get to use the Combat Cross in battle and tackle gigantic bosses in immensely detailed environments. According to the new trailer, Mirror of Fate will take players 20 hours to beat.

Mirror of Fate takes place 25 years after the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and sheds light on Gabriel’s descendants; Simon and Trevor. Trevor Belmont sets out to avenge the death of his mother (Marie) who was killed by his father (Gabriel). Gabriel, now known as Dracula, takes up residence in an old castle and declares war on the Brotherhood of Light. The end of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate will lead straight into Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate is out March 5 in North America and March 8 in Europe exclusively for the 3DS. Check out the trailer below:
