Capcom and Dontnod Entertainment’s upcoming title, Remember Me, has entered the fighting ring with new character Kid Xmas.
Remember Me is an intriguing title. The game is a brand new IP at the end of a console generation, and features a rather unique setting. The world is not bleak and dreary in this dystopian future. Everything is rather clean, and it looks pretty good.
Remember Me takes place in Paris in the year 2084. The world has become a surveillance state under a totalitarian government. Nilin, the main protagonist, had her memories erased by her former employer Memoreyes in order to neutralize her. She escapes and must discover why and how to restore them.
The latest trailer showcases a wide range of gameplay including Nilin’s ability to climb and scale large buildings. Remember Me is very melee combat oriented with Nilin punching and kicking her enemies. The trailer ends with the character of Kid Xmas who battles Nilin in a fighting arena. Kid Xmas will be a boss fight in the game with the ability to deliver crushing physical attacks, and shoot at Nilin.
Remember Me is a brand new IP being developed for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. This is Dontnod’s first game and will be published by Capcom. The game was originally pitched to Sony as a PS3 exclusive. However, Sony ended up letting it go for an unknown reason.
Remember Me is out May 2013 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Check out the Kid Xmas trailer below:
