Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut gets new features
Deadly Premonition Directors Cut

The Director’s Cut of the horror-comedy hit, Deadly Premonition, is coming soon to PlayStation 3 with some brand new features.

Deadly Premonition released back in 2010 for the Xbox 360. While a PS3 version did launch in Japan, it was never released in North America. The game went on to receive mixed reviews, but the exact opposite happened when it came to sales. Deadly Premonition destroyed expectations to become a cult classic.

Now, Rising Star Games is bringing Deadly Premonition to the PS3 in the form of Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut. This Director’s Cut brings plenty of new features to enhance the game experience for PS3 owners:

  • New scenario from the game’s director, Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro
  • High-Definition graphics
  • Reworked control system allowing for an even better combat experience
  • Downloadable content to expand the mystery beyond the original game

Players will play as Francis York Morgan (nicknamed York), a special agent sent in to investigate the murder of a young local beauty. Things go quickly awry as supernatural creatures and a killer seek to end his investigation.

“Love it or hate it, Deadly Premonition has been a phenomenon; ‘cult’ does not begin to do its success justice,” said Martin Defries, Managing Director of Rising Star Games.

“With the enhancements Swery and his team are making to this new PS3 version, I am delighted to confirm Rising Star Games involvement with this fantastic game that should engage fans new and old alike.”

Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut is out March 2013 in North America and Europe exclusively for PlayStation 3.
