Ubisoft’s released two new videos focusing on the talent search the team undertook whilst looking for performers that could “bring more than just a voice” to Far Cry 3.
The videos focus on two of Far Cry 3’s most recognisable characters, the drug-riddled Dr. Alec Earnhardt and the psychopathic warlord Vaas Montenegro. We’ve already spoken about how fantastic the latter of the two is in our review of Far Cry 3, in which we stated that “Vaas Montenegro’s dialogue and scripting is perfectly delivered by voice actor Michael Mando and is truly second to none.”
In Far Cry 3 players find themselves dropped into the shoes of everyman Jason Brody, stranded on a mysterious tropical island far beyond the reaches of civilization. In this savage paradise that’s ruled by violence, Brody is forced to survive against all odds as he finds himself caught in a bloody conflict between the island’s psychotic warlords and indigenous tribes. As Jason Brody players will slash, sneak and shoot their way across the island in a world that has lost all sense of morality and in the process they will dictate how the story unfolds from the very battles they choose to fight to the allies or enemies they make along the way.
Those players wanting to face their own insanity can download the free mobile app Far Cry 3 Insanity Mirror for iOS devices now, allowing them to experience a “crazy conversation with themselves.”
Far Cry 3 is out now in Europe and North America on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
