Call of Duty: Black Ops II dethrones Halo 4 on Xbox Live charts
Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Halo 4’s reign as most played game on Xbox Live has been cut dramatically short thanks to Activision and Treyarch’s latest Call of Duty title.

Major Nelson has posted the results for the week starting November 19 on his blog. Despite being an extremely anticipated Xbox 360 exclusive title, Halo 4 was not able to fend off Call of Duty: Black Ops II and was pushed down into the second place spot.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition continues to pull strong support despite major releases this holiday season. New titles like Assassin’s Creed III, FIFA 13 and Borderlands 2 were unable to dethrone older titles like Minecraft. In fact, the list is still populated by many 2011 and older titles with over half the list composed of them. Only 9 of the 20 titles were released in 2012.
