Sony has announced Uncharted: Fight for Fortune, a turn-based card game spin-off for Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
The PS Vita is in need of some strong first-party content similar to Uncharted: Golden Abyss. The handheld is still missing key franchises from Sony’s library with only Resistance and LittleBigPlanet getting the Vita treatment. Last week, rumors of another Uncharted game for PS Vita began swirling about giving fans some hope. However, Sony has revealed Uncharted: Fight for Fortune, which is a card game.
Players will create a team of Faction cards featuring heroes, villains and mercenaries from the four Uncharted games. Players will then fight against iconic characters from the franchise. Like in many other card games, Faction cards have stats that enable them to deal damage and defend. These stats can receive a boost from Resource and Fortune cards. The game ends when when the opponents health reaches zero.
Fight for Fortune will tie into Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Artifacts can be discovered in Golden Abyss that can then power up the same artifact in Fight for Fortune. Fight for Fortune will not impact Golden Abyss in anyway and can be played without having the game.
Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is being developed by Sony Bend Studios, the same people behind Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Trophy support, in-game chat and multiplayer are all supported. DLC has already been announced for the game in the form of expansion packs that contain additional cards.
Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is out December 4 exclusively on PS Vita for $4.99. Check out the debut trailer below:
