EA and Danger Close have finally released the launch trailer for the single player portion of their just released shooter.
It is no secret that today’s shooters are more focused on delivering a strong multiplayer experience than a heart-wrenching single player narrative. EA and Danger Close made it pretty clear that multiplayer is what is most important about Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
Last week a multiplayer launch trailer was released for the shooter that highlighted many of the games features. Some of these features included the different Tier 1 officers and the unique maps based on real world locations. However. the trailer did not feature any single player content.
Today, the official single player launch trailer has been released. The trailer is a mixture of gameplay and pre-rendered cutscenes. A heavy emphasis is placed on tracking terrorism around the world with the game being “based on actual events in the War on Terror.”
Players will take control of Preacher, a protagonist from the 2010 Medal of Honor reboot, and travel all around the world in search of terrorist hot spots. Your job is to infiltrate the areas, rescue hostages and assassinate the leader of the organization. Bosnia, the Philippines and Somalia have all been confirmed as levels in the game.
Few reviews have been published for the game due to EA refusing to send out copies until the day before the game launched. Buy with extreme caution as this is a troublesome sign.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter is out today in North America and October 26 in Europe for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Check out the trailer below:
