Nintendo is hopping on board the demo bandwagon starting tomorrow. Downloading demoes for games have been going on in Japan for over a month, but gamers worldwide have not been able to enjoy the same benefits. This is ending.
Demoes will be arriving starting tomorrow with Resident Evil: Revelations being the first game to get a demo. A few more games have also been detailed including Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, which will receive a demo January 16. Rayman Origins and Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D have also been announced for the the demo treatment, but have not received a release date.
This has not been the first time Nintendo has dabbled in demos. The Wii received numerous demos, but not as many as the PS3 and Xbox 360 have had. It is a smart move for Nintendo to enter the demo field as the PS Vita will most certainly have new demoes every week like its big brother, the PS3 has.
Nintendo plans to update the eShop with more demos periodically. Hopefully we’ll see a lot more in the future.
