Not that much of a surprise when you stop and think about.

Today, Bethesda has confirmed that its upcoming RPG, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, will be getting some DLC. However, the first two pieces of Skyrim DLC will be only on Xbox 360 for 30 days.

This of course does mean that PS3 and PC owners won’t be able to partake in these two expansions until a month expires. For PC gamers, this shouldn’t be a problem thanks to the modding community that is growing ever more excited to mod another Elder Scrolls game. PS3 gamers won’t be so lucky however.

This deal shouldn’t come as a surprise to any follower of Bethesda though. The company has a history of releasing expansions on the Xbox 360 first. Fallout 3 received all 4 expansions packs a whole year ahead of a PS3 release.

Don’t go getting angry though PS3 users, 30 days isn’t a long wait and the world created in Skyrim will be so large that DLC won’t be necessary for a long time.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will launch November 11, 2011 on Xbox 360, PC, and PS3.
