The Penguin waddles his way into Batman: Arkham City

Warner’s revealed Penguin will feature in the upcoming sequel to 2009’s Batman: Arkham Asylum. Catch the reveal trailer after the break.

Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, or rather The Penguin, will assume his role as the black market racketeer of Arkham. The “foul fiend brings his criminal and financial genius, hand-to-hand expertise, treacherous toys and his feathered friends into the walled streets of Arkham City, with the sole aspiration of ridding the world of the Dark Knight.” Of course – as you’d have expected – it’s your job to thwart his plans.

Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of its predecessor, by introducing an entirely new story, featuring an all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the “ultimate experience as the Dar Knight.”

Developer Rocksteady and Publisher Warner recently revealed the game would be getting the collector’s edition treatment, fully equipped with a statuette of the Bat himself.

In addition, Batman’s trusty Boy Wonder side-kick Robin was recently announced as a playable character in challenge-maps, assuming you pre-order from selected retailers that is.

Batman: Arkham City is scheduled for release on October 18 in North America and October 21 in Europe for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It will additionally see a release on Nintendo’s Wii U sometime next year.
