Oh wherefore art thou Resistance 3? Were you at E3? No. Were you at SDCC? No. Will you be at Gamescom? Maybe!

After a mysterious billboard hit last winter bearing the Resistance 3 logo and a US retailer listing Resistance 3 with the exact same logo as the box art, its no wonder people are excited.

The hotly anticipated PS3 exclusive has been missing in action for quite a while and the recent news that Insomniac is set to unveil AND demo its next Playstation 3 project between now and PAX make this a golden opportunity. So will it be at Gamescom?

“I’m afraid I can’t comment on this,” a SCEE rep told Beefjack when asked if we would see a reveal in Germany.

So no answer, but after all this is the company that tried to tell us the PSP Go wasn’t real before it was announced (A.K.A. the worst kept secret of E3 09). Soon all will be revealed at Gamescom on August 18th!

Resistance 3, when its finally announced, will be released exclusively on the PS3 hopefully sometime next year.
