Its less than seven weeks now until the launch of Halo: Reach and Microsoft is ramp­ing up aware­ness for the game, this time around it’s in the form of a cam­paign trailer.

Reach is a pre­quel to the Halo series and takes place before the events of the first game, it fol­lows the actions of Noble Team, an elite squad of Spartan Soldiers and their final stand on the planet Reach, humanity’s last line of defense between the Covenant and Earth.

This time around Bungie is prom­ising a “darker” story along with “grit­tier visu­als amid a back­drop of massive, awe-inspiring envir­on­ments” com­pared to pre­vi­ous titles in the fran­chise.

Halo: Reach drops on September 14 world­wide for the Xbox 360.
